Sullivan’s Steakhouse Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

NIce place , good service and to me the bar is the best part. The steaks are ok, but I don't think they have the flavor of Mortons or Capital Grill. The calamari is better than most places and the salads are good. I would give them 4 stars , but for the prices they are charging I think the meats should be better. Probably the best bar in the K o P area to have a drink, but for my money I would take the Capital Grill behind the mall.

We go here frequently for drinks and cigars. It is one of the few places left you can smoke on the back patio. The staff is friendly, fun and attentive. Wednesdays in the summer time starts half price cigars.

I've been to Sullivan's several times. And probably would have given them 3 Stars - if it wasn't for the last time a couple weeks ago. They definitely lost a star that night in my book. I'll save you the boring details; I'm sure you can guess. Food related, service related... I think I've had my run w/ Sullivan's. Next time, Capital Grille where I won't have to worry about what I'm going to get.

Great service, great food, and all brought together with great management. The valet team is top notch. As soon as you walk in, to the time you leave, you feel like a very valuable guest. Can't say enough about this place. Have never had a bad meal in over 10 years of dining.

Fair at best. Not enough staff for the amount of business. Cold mushrooms that I sent back and they came back just as cold. I had them remove the item from my bill. Steak was good not great. My wife's lamb chops were very good. 2 nights ago we ate at Morton's. Morton's far exceeded Sullivan's. We asked for a quiet table when we made the reservation but were given a very noisy table.

The A-OK rating was only for the noise level of the restaurant because me and my wife were sitting across from the table and we could barely hear each other. The waitress was good and food was good. These explain why the restaurant was so full even when we visited that Wednesday night. When I called the restaurant earlier, I didn't bother to make a reservation. Perhaps I should. By the recommendation of our waitress, we ordered the Crispy Shanghai Calamari and it was fabulous. (I wonder if Shanghai really has something like that though....) We also ordered the Oysters on the Half Shell with a mix of east and west coast oysters. I think we love the west coast ones more. (Yea, I know....may be I shouldn't when I live where I am....) The Filet Mignon and the Bone-In KC Strip were just right though the French Onion Soup and the Shrimp & Lobster Bisque Bowl were a bit too salty for us.

I read the reviews , I was warned and I went anyways ... It was one of those instances I wanted to prove the rest of the reviews wrong . In the end I deserve a big fat I told you so . The server was nice but should find work in another field, maybe one that includes being attentive to people's needs as not being an important factor. I had to ask if I could order a drink because she continued to comeback and never once asked . She never informed us that the menu was laid out a la carte style . The menu did not say this anywhere as well , so unless you've been there before how is one suppose to know . If two people are ordering just meat it's probably a good indication they don't know and you should maybe ask if they want a side or inform them they don't get sides with the meal . Not only are you ordering literally just a piece of meat , if you want any type of sauce you have to order and pay for it separately . I find this very shocking , most restaurants want to give you some type of sauce / broth to give the meat a little bit of flavor . We didn't know about the a la carte so we had to order sides once our meat came . I say once our meat came and not meal because it is literally just a piece of warmed up meat . Bland , no sauce and no sides . They don't even take the time to dress your plate . I'm giving them a star for the lobster tail size . It was the biggest lobster tail I have ever seen . The lobster tail was part of my serf n terf meal ( 6oz steak with lobster tail ) for $47. I also ordered a dirty gin martini and it was so olive juice mixed that the color was literally the cloudy green color you see in the olive jar . The peppercorn sauce was god awful . It tasted like it came out of a pre-made tube . It was so sweet it almost tasted like it was a sauce meant for a dessert . At the end of the day a meal consisting of one martini , one beer , two steaks , a lobster tail , side of mushroom and potatoes ( one serving per side mind you -not a side meant to share ) , and a price to pay for a sauce should not cost $200. We also waited about 15 - 20 min for a box and our check ( she was rolling her silverware inside ). I could understand if the quality of the meat was outstanding or all grass feed meat , but it was neither . They don't offer you anything with the meal such as a side salad or soup or even bread to start off with . The whole experience feels like there trying to nickel and dime you. If I'm going to pay that price for a "steakhouse meal " it should feel like a experience to go along with it . Even the decor doesn't fit the " steakhouse fine dining experience " they want you to feel like their giving you . Very disappointing all around . Would never ever return and wouldn't suggest anyone try . Listen to the reviews , they are all consistently written about being bad for a reason .

My husband had dined here previously but this was my first visit. The service was great, but the food left us wanting more. We ordered the roasted garlic meatballs to start with, which tasted pretty good. The wedge salads were fantastic! Definitely the best part of the meal! Both of us had filet and both were incredibly salty, it made it hard to finish. Luckily they come around frequently with water refills; we needed it. I tried one bite of the garlic horseradish mashed potatoes and was not a fan, I was glad my husband liked them. I don't know what they put in the food there, but we both had wicked headaches within a couple hours, something that typically happens when we eat a lot of salt. Not a great way to end our anniversary.

Great service along with fantastic food! The restaurant environment was pleasant a good spot to catch up with friends. Got the tavern slices steak! Didn't think it was possible for someone could perfect string beans!

Came here during Restaurant Week, and even before walking in, I was disappointed by the lack of parking spaces caused by the over abundance of valet parking spaces. I had to park at the store next door and walk over. Once I checked in, I was told that, despite having a reservation at 7:00pm, they were a little behind. What an understatement! There wasn't even any standing room. We weren't seated until 7:40pm. I recommend their Asparagus Bisque, the Wedge Salad is really good, and their Ceasar Salad was just average. The New York Strip was a bit salty and overcooked, and the Filet Mignon Medallions were a bit too rare for my tastes, even though we all requested medium rare. Consistency is definitelt an issue. Upon ordering dessert, we were informed that they had run out of the cheesecake and were offering key lime pie instead. We were planning on coming back to try their highly recommended Prix Fixe menu, but tonight really changed our minds.

Perfect. I go often and always get the same thing. On the rare occasions there is a problem, it is always quickly resolved. Great rewards program.

So, I travel for work and I often eat dinner by myself. It is awkward sometimes, but the hostess made me feel bad about it. Not a personable welcome and the transition from buying a cigar to sitting on the patio just made me feel awkward. My server was great. No complaints about the service after seated. Food was good, but would have expected perfection for the price. I ordered a medium rare that was definitely medium.

We had our team holiday luncheon here recently. It was a great opportunity to sample several items. You pretty much know what this place is about. I'm just going to go straight into what I ate. Sliced tavern steak - This is a solid dish. More than one of us tried this option and didn't disappoint. Only thing is that I swore I ordered mine medium. Perhaps I said medium well and didn't realize it. Perhaps the waitress misheard me in the noisy dining room. Perhaps the kitchen screwed up. But I got medium well which made it a little less juicy than I wanted. But it was still quality. Blue cheese meatloaf - One of our fellow diners couldn't finish this and offered some to me. Quite honestly, this dish is heaven to me. I'd eat three slices of this if I could. Lobster bisque - I sampled this, and found it had enough meat to it with a nice sherry taste. No complaints here. Banana foster bread pudding - I finished it happily. I didn't expect the bread to be quite so crusty. I wanted something a little more gooey. But it's well made regardless. This was a solid dining experience. Sullivan's will be a recommended steakhouse on my list going forward.

If you're asking what is Sullivans? It is part of a chain associated with Del Friscos; more of their mid-grade model. Features include valet parking and an outdoor patio area with TV's in warmer weather. Happy Hour: Thursdays and Fridays it is standing room only unless you arrive early by 4-5. Great crowd of business people with live music. Food: The typical offerings for a steakhouse. However, there is no signature item to recommend. Wait time is a little longer than expected. Nothing memorable compared to the competition in the area. 2 years ago we would dine in frequently, but after multiple less than stellar meals (and considering the price tag) I opt for Ruth Chris. I would recommend for a lively happy hour, not a dining experience.

Been here many, many times since they opened. Unfortunately it's lost its shine. It smells funny when you enter from outside. The portions are HALF the size they were in the past (Family style is a joke. There wasn't enough food for FOUR of us) and the service is fair at best. Totally NOT worth the prices they charge. Sadly I'm crossing this restaurant OFF the list.

Halibut special less than special. NY strip came w/ onions instead of blue cheese. Busboy reset tables w/ fingers inside water glasses. Go to Capitol Grille.

After reading the reviews below I have to disagree with some of them. Our service from the time we walked in till we left was perfect . Food was on time and absolutely delicious. Our waitress was great and always checked in to see how our dinner was going and so did the manager.

Ok ambience, nice waiter. I ordered a medium rare ribeye and she ordered a medium well filet. The filet was medium rare and the ribeye was medium well. They took the chopped up filet back and threw it on the grill and brought it back. Steak was still rare but now completely charred on the outside and was not eaten. No discount was applied. Neither steak was worth 20$ let alone 40$. Quality and taste were less than average. Do yourself a favor and go to Ruth's Chris around the corner. same price better food. Will not come back and will recommend others from coming here. Update-Management reached out which was very nice and something they didn't have to do. Nice gesture. Shows they care. Maybe I just had a bad experience.

Ate here on fathers day. This used to be our go to restaurant. Service was adequate but VERY DISSAPOINTED in the steaks. No t-bones or porterhouse on the menu? Had the misfortune to order the $69 dry aged long bone rib eye: total mistake. a foot of bone holding a grisly blob. Equivalent meat on a 6 oz strip including inedible gristle. My sons ribeye was a better piece of meat. The other filet mignons and strips were of outback quality at best. I hinted to the waiter twice that my meal was inferior and he wouldn't engage: I decided not to push the issue. I cooked a t-bone on my grill a few days later and it cleared my pallet from this bad experience.

Dined here with a party of ten in for a law school graduation. They provided us two servers however we only saw one of them for the majority of the night. Service was poor and not what you would expect from a fine dining steak house. Majority of the members from our party ordered the four course menu and EVERY SINGLE COURSE came out with problems where they counted the orders wrong and gave courses that were not ordered. On top of that the table was never cleaned in between the courses. Finally, the server who was assigned to refilling waters was the most careless woman ever. Never said excuse me and reached across us in front of our faces and filled our glasses without picking them up, splashing water EVERYWHERE. She didn't even pick her pitcher up, just kept pouring while moving from one glass to another. There was water all over the table including my phone was splashed. Poor dining experience. Would not recommend and will not return to dine here.

Sullivan's in King of Prussia churns our consistency at its finest! Whether you decide to dine in the formal dining room or just hang at the bar for apps and cocktails you will not be disappointed. The food is exactly what you expect for a high end steak house. Additionally, the bar and bartenders do not disappoint, always great service and knowledge and they make a mean Manhattan.

I wanted to like this restaurant, I really did. The decor was awesome and the hostess greeted us so friendly. Pricing was reasonable for lunch. Had an appetizer, a sandwich and a lemonade. The appetizer: I ordered the lobster & shrimp bisque and I have had better. I prefer Pappadeaux's lobster bisque and if you have ever had it you know it is rich, creamy and chunky (you can definitely see the lobster chunks before grabbing your spoon and stirring the bisque). However, this was NOT the case with the lobster bisque I had at Sullivan's. It seemed like they skimped out on the lobster and shrimp bisque. When it was served, it looked like a creamy soup with nothing in it. The taste was good and the black pepper that I had the waitress top it off with enhanced the flavor. The sandwich: I ordered the Southern Fried chicken sandwich as recommended by the waitress. I wish I had ordered the hamburger instead or better yet I wish I didn't have the pickle sauce as the spread. The flavors of the fried chicken and the pickle sauce on the brioche bun didn't mesh well. I didn't even finish the entire sandwich because the pickle sauce was overwhelming. I ended up opening the sandwich and only eating the fried chicken patty. (I have had better chicken fried chicken at Texas Roadhouse and Applebee's). I ordered the strawberry lemonade and it definitely was NOT homemade. Perhaps the strawberry juice was homemade especially since real strawberries are added to the drink but the lemonade itself tasted like a Country Time lemonade mix. For my appetizer, sandwich entree and strawberry lemonade drink I paid, $27 before tip. My friend ordered the $18.50 mixer. She liked the lobster and shrimp bisque (but she noted that she too has had better). She did not care for the salmon. She said it was dry and there was no crispy well seasoned skin at the bottom of the salmon.

Service was good except for the servers talking about me and my family in their area. we came their dressed super casually. I guess they were not used to that type of clientele in KOP. Our Steak meal was adequate but not great the Macaroni and cheese appetizer is awesome!!! We ordered one Mac n cheese appetizer for each of my daughters and they were well pleased too. I do not mind spending money but when you spend a lot for a meal it should be memorable. Unfortunately Sullivan's was not! Try at your own risk Capital Grille and Ruth Chris are better!! Actually the best filet mignon I ever had was at Ti Kaye resorts in St. Lucia bar none!!! Food for thought

Seated us and then told us they were moving us...seriously. The ny strip was sliced and cold. The waitress removed my sister's 15.00 glass of wine before she was done. The 6 ounce steak is before the cooking ( which they got all wrong). The veggies were cold the waitress kept her best assets front and center set all times. Too expensive for the food. Wouldnt recommend it EVER.

Had a $50 gift card, so I took my daughters here for lunch after a summer Friday morning, shopping at the outlets. Bottomline is that it's a decent chain restaurant doing a good job serving your standard steakhouse fare in a nice dark-wood paneled decor. Go with the knowledge that it's overpriced, and you might enjoy it. I personally wouldn't eat here without a gift card. We each had their $18.50 "Mixer" lunch special, consisting of an app (wedge or greens salad or lobster shrimp bisque) + entree (salmon, meatloaf or chicken) + side (horseradish mashed potatoes, green beans or sauteed spinach or parmesan fries). Piping hot loaf of bread was wonderful, and replenished when we wanted more. We each started with the lobster bisque- it's very rich, with heavy cream spiced with a touch of cayenne---with chunks of lobster & shrimp at the bottom. DD18 had the Bay of Fundy salmon (I think that means it "should" be wild -- but who knows). It was perfectly seared crispy on the bottom, seasoned just with salt & pepper and needing nothing else. Probably a 4 oz or so piece, with generous serving of mash. DD15 had the chicken with "parmesan fries." The fries seemed right out of the fryer --- but shredded parmesan was sprinkled on top without any broiler action, so it was basically bits of unmelted cheese on top of fries. Not appetizing --unless you like to eat your cheese + fries separately. My meatloaf was 2 generous slices of bleu cheese spiked meatloaf, with a nice sized portion of spinach. It was a bit oversalted, but basically had good flavor. The winner of the 3 choices was definitely the salmon. Service was just ok for a 2:30 lunch. Our large dining room was empty except for 2 other tables. A different waiter took our order b/c he could sense I wasn't happy waiting (and waiting) for the other waiter who was assigned our table but was busy with a party of 6. I liked the teamwork and that he stepped in to help, but overall it felt like the staff was tired from serving the lunch crowd, and was transitioning to dinner prep.

First trip to Sullivan's as a good-bye dinner for a friend. The food was excellent, and the staff really took my "why are you visiting" comment box to heart - two managers and our server all were politely inquisitive about my friends plans and our reason for celebrating. We definitely felt appreciated. We were sat exactly at our reservation time, the restaurant was quiet and clean. I highly recommend the filet mignon and the garlic gorgonzola butter - that butter alone topped my previous favorite steakhouse. We will definitely be back!

Discernible difference compared to The Capital Grille, Morton's, Smith & Wollensky's - but it's fun in a more casual way. I've only eaten appetizers here but they are well priced on the nights they offer specials at the bar - along with live Jazz. Staff friendly enough, space clean enough, valet parking adequate. A perfectly good option on the KOP mall campus, close to all the hotels. For food and cocktails, if you can spend a little more, I'd go with Capital Grille. But again if you want a slightly more raucous atmosphere, stop in here. Very lively.

Let's start with an explanation - the 3 stars are not as much an indictment of Sullivan's as it is a comparative grade. We enjoyed the experience but for the money I can think of other places I'd go to first. Had dinner here with some old friends to celebrate my wife's birthday. We spent more than three hours in the restaurant and not once did they try to hurry us out-although it was a somewhat slow evening and they didn't need the table. I started with a shrimp cocktail and the shrimp were quite large and the cocktail sauce was quite telling both of which I enjoyed immensely. I followed that with a Cowboy Cut Ribeye and it was cooked to perfection. However, The two sauces I had were disappointing. The Cajun butter was fair; the peppercorn sauce was one of the weakest I've had. I'd recommend the Cajun to try, skip the peppercorn for sure. My wife had the KC cut ( the server could not tell us what distinguishes the KC moniker). It was a good ribeye and also cooked well - but we still can't tell you what distinguishes it from the other ribeye on the menu. Sides are served a la carte and are very sparse amounts. Desserts were good, not amazing. Our server was what you would expect at a high-end restaurant but did nothing to distinguish himself from the crowd. One fact to consider, although it is a personal observation that might not disturb anyone else. For a class place, I found it odd that the female servers wore tight skirts that barely covered their derrières. Not trashy or offensive, just very out of character for the rest of the experience. It was more of a "does anyone understand that?" conversation at our table than anything else. As I started with, it was a good night but for the money Id try other places or go back to their competition first. I enjoyed my meal but don't see myself going back.

Sullivan's does steak right. The different flavors are perfect, as is the way they are cooked. We went for a birthday celebration for my sister and the restaurant was very accommodating. I had tuna and it was amazing. Flavorful and cooked to perfection. The wine and desserts were amazing as well. The only reason I may not give it a full 5 stars is for price & the fact that it lacks the originality that a non-chain may have.

This place played the music so loudly that my wife and I could not hear each other speak nor could we communicate with the waiter. I asked for the manager to come over and when he did, asked him to turn the volume down somewhat. He flat-out refused, saying that they want to keep it at that original level because that was their "vibe". We were very very uncomfortable throughout the meal and very disappointed with this attitude. We will never go back.

I had a wonderful dinner experience at Sullivan's with a coworker. They have a great prix fixe menu for an appetizer, salad or soup, and entree. There's also another special that allows you to try 3 differently seasoned 4oz filet mignon's. As much as I wanted to choose that special, I opted for the prix fixe with my choices being calamari, caesar salad, and filet mignon. The food was what I expected. I didn't order anything out of the ordinary, so I wasn't blown away. They do a pretty good job with the calamari, adding a slight spice to it. I ordered my filet medium, and it came out very nicely. Juicy, pink, tender. What puts this restaurant over the top for me is their service. My water never saw a half full/empty glass. When taking away our plates, they made sure the crumbs came off the table, as well. They also made sure we didn't feel rushed by waiting for us to finish each course before bringing out the next one. Lastly, here's the kicker that shows just how friendly the staff is there. For dessert, we wanted to split something. However, we couldn't choose just one. So we gave our server three choices and the power to pick one for us as a surprise. Well, surprise us he did. "I talked about the apple cobbler, so I felt I had to bring it out." *Another server pops around from behind him with another dessert: cheesecake." "But you told me to surprise you, so here's another. Surprise! On the house!" Even though we only wanted one, it's like our stomachs made room for these delicious desserts. We loved them both, and the great surprise to our meal!

Came here expecting a great steak dinner. Had the prix fixe menu of cheesesteak eggrolls (ok), lobster bisque (barely ok) and 8oz filet (way too salty). Also had the American Burger, which was also too salty. We were scraping off the seasoning/salt and it was still way too salty. I was chewing on morsels of salt, it was bad. Service was great but the meal experience alone will never bring me back. I'm sure the quality of the meat is great, but the way it was prepared was miserable. Highlight was definitely the water boy, clutch.

Sullivan's ... always drive pass by it when I go shopping at KOP Came here on a Thursday night, they were really busy for a weekday , good thing I made a reservation on yelp, so make sure you make a reservation before you come here. They have a prix fixe menu that includes an appetizer, salad or soup, and an entree for just $39.99. Pretty good deal but small portion , in my opinion good for the ladies, for my fellow meat eaters not so much. I had the salmon for my entree, the fish was cooked to the perfect temperature , the meat itself was so soft but wasn't very tasty. Kinda wished it tasted like Chris's Ruth but keep it's own consistency . Overall not bad ! Our waitress was very friendly, but since it was a busy night , she forgot our drinks , that was kinda a minus, but she was busy.

My boyfriend and I decided to go to Sullivan's for dinner, thanks to our wonderful experience at the Yelp Elite Event, a $25 coupon, and their 3 course $79 for two summer special. Unfortunately we were a bit underwhelmed. Service was amazing. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, everyone at Sullivan's was really friendly and helpful. Our waiter was very nice and he seemed genuinely excited about the food. Our waiter greeted us with a warm loaf of bread. This was pretty exciting until I spent the next few minutes trying to cut it. It was good bread once I managed to separate a few pieces. We started with the Oysters Rockefeller, which were one of the best dishes I've ever had. All of the flavors of the oyster, spinach, and Parmesan cream sauce balanced perfectly. It was definitely the highlight of the meal. Next was the chilled asparagus bisque - refreshing and very pretty. We also ordered horseradish mashed potatoes and steak mushroom caps. They were both good, but I can't think of much more to say than that. I can't believe I'm saying this, but our filet mignon was disappointing! It was undoubtedly cooked well but it tasted very bland. Not a hint of salt or pepper, and we both agreed that we've had better. It was a stark contrast to the filet we tasted at the YEE. For dessert, my boyfriend raved about the key lime pie. I was too full for my bananas foster bread pudding and took it to go after one bite. That one bite was pretty good, though! Overall it was a good experience, though I'm not sure that I would come back for anything more than a few drinks and appetizers. The food was good, but nothing was really amazing except for the Rockefeller oysters. Also, when we asked to have the mushrooms packed up, we noticed that what we got in the take out box was a lot less than what we had on the plate. I just expected to be wowed a bit more than I was.

Wow. You ask for a wine list and you get the knowledgeable Sullivan's Sommelier. 15mins of him and I felt like I had arrived! Superb wine selection and recommendations. Our waitress was very attentive (Heather was her name) and took care of our party of 5. You cannot go wrong with the Filet. The Au-Poivre peppercorn sauce was delicious. The sides are very much like maggiano's family style sides. Big portions.

Boooo, this place is for clueless rich people. It was so mediocre and crawling with entitled asses I couldn't stand it. I had several beers and boring spinach artichoke dip with crappy chips and had to get the heck out.

READ THIS HONEST ACCOUNT! First, MAKE RESEVATIONS!! It's no secret this place is great so call ahead!! Had reservations for 8:45. About 8:44 the manager let us know they were running behind and comped us a cocktail and brought people appetizers who also were standing. Food was great.. High prices just to be upfront. Did the 2ppl dine three courses for $99. Food was prepared well, waiter was hard to understand but was great. Checked in on is regularly and cleared table of crums each time he took off a plate. Bill came: manager had then comped us another $25. Great guy, came over and made sure we were pleased and the experience was good. I would recommend it if you have the pockets. Great food!

This is what my wife and I treat ourselves to at the end of the week. I'm honestly not crazy about the dining room. We tried it once, food was a bit underwhelming, though our waitress, Katrina, was great. We love to sit at the bar. It's a great atmosphere, very good bar menu with half off specials some nights, and Julie, in all seriousness our favorite bartender in the continental US. The seared ahi tuna appetizer is simply one of our favorite dishes anywhere. My wife loves the new market salad. Our favorite before, which is no longer on the menu but you can still ask for it, is the chopped salad. I am impressed everytime. I'm also a fan of the salmon. The drinks are very good. The knockout martini, which was accurately described in a previous post as dangerous. The Sully-rita is a smoky margarita which has a pretty interesting flavor for a drink. Also Julie makes a great Old-Fasion. Top it off with the Coconut Cream Pie and you've got yourself a nice evening!

LONG OVER DUE 10/7/2013 We had my Father's surprise 70th birthday. Not only was the food perfectly cooked, hot, delicious and filling, but the service we had was ABOVE AND BEYOND AMAZING, and coming from me, a former waiter that is saying something. The manager and the district manager both came to our table to personally wish my father a very Happy Birthday. And to the surprise of myself and my family, the waitress took our photo which was great and had it placed in a photo cover and all the staff signed it. My father is not one for emotions, but yes a tear fell from his eye when this was presented to him. My father was given some disstressing news about his sight a few days prior to this so, for the staff to do all they did to bring a smile to his face and a tear to his eye, I can never thank you enough. I can not tell you how thankful I am to everyone at this amazing restaurant who helped us celebrate a milestone with my father. To any who has yet to try this amazing restaurant, you will find it a top notch fine dining facility with amazing people with warm hearts. Many heartfelt thanks Joseph Constable Long Beach California

A wonderful evening out for date night! The service was first class, and the food was great. Our serving staff was excellent. Appetizer cheesesteak eggrolls...yummy! A bit on the expensive side but for a special occasion totally worth it.

For the price point I expected more. I frequently dine at steakhouses around the country and this one was just average which for the price is a negative. Had some business to conduct with european partners, it was too loud to talk. Service started slow but got better. Most of us ordered the tuna, which i know is a strange to order at a steakhouse. Mine was the least appealing of the 4 we ordered. There should be no difference in quality. Portions were adequate but not spectacular and the a la carte side dishes were outright small. Dinner seemed rushed as food was delivered. I was hoping for a better experience.

Consistency is the key! Sullivan's never disappoints with service and quality. We ordered 2 bottles of wine, a few apps for the table (calamari and seafood tower), 4 shared sides and 8 delicious steaks. It is always a good sign when everyone leaves happy and full!

Terrible! My husband and I moved from the city and are fairly new to the area, and decided to make reservations for Valentines Day dinner. They were obviously too busy to accomodate the crowd, bc we were walked through the actual nice part of the restaurant and sat in the area that is normally the outside patio ( This was in the middle of a snow storm and high winds). So basically we were sitting outside, only with plastic walls. Needless to say with the high winds and snow, the plastic was blowing around and it was cold. When they turned the heat on, it was blazing hot from the space heaters placed around the ceiling (again, used for outside seating). Not only that...the tables were basically picnic tables with tablecloths. NOTHING like the inside of the restaurant....which is much nicer. For the price you pay, part of that price is the atmosphere.....and being put in an area that definitely shouldnt have been open (bc its meant for outside seating).....took the nice atmosphere away. Add to this the fact that my husbands steak came out raw. At this point we were so aggravated with the whole experience, we just wanted to finish and leave. Unfortunately, not the Valentines dinner we were hoping for. Total waste of $200 and a nice dinner.

I'd give them 3.5 stars based on my first experience during restaurant week this year... I thought restaurant week was their chance to shine and show what they have to offer...I think I ate what they were going to turn into ground beef...my filet was overcooked(closer to well than medium rare), very small, and had a big knot of fat in it...it also seems the cook cut it open to check the doneness, something I'm not used to at a nice steakhouse... I was very surprised and disappointed that this is what they were showcasing for restaurant week...I'm certainly in no rush to get back there, altho the service was excellent and I did like the atmosphere...they also have an outdoor section My horseradish mashed were light on the horseradish...some bites made me wonder if there was any horseradish... Some of the girls do wear skirts and fishnets...some of them wear black pants and black shirts...I beleive this is very similar to how the girls dress at Morton's right around the corner...

Got kind of worried by the reviews on here, this place seems to carry the reputation of a poor man's Mortons or Capital Grille. I almost canceled my reservation because of this but I'm glad I didn't. Let me just get to the point, best steak I've ever had. I don't know if the chef was in the zone that night or Gordon Ramsay swung by for a second to cook my steak, but I'll never forget it.

Awesome restuarant! Beautiful inside as well. Very warm, cozy, and romantic. Great food and great cocktails. They have a really good happy hour deal too. Only reason I give it 3 stars is because of the service. The waitress was nowhere to be found most of the night and seemed disinterested in working that night. Never heard the specials and when i saw something delicious at the table next to ours that anotehr server had dropped off he said that it was one of the specials! We never heard them so I was little upset. She did not seem knowledgable about the menu and more concernced about talking with her co-workers in the corner when my fiancee's wine glass needed to be filled. I don't mind paying top $$ for good food and good service but I had just wished she was more attentive to our needs and dining experience.

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip, that started on the interwebs, and ended...at Sullivan's. I can't possibly do justice to the theme song from "Gilligan's Island," but maybe I can add some insight into this KOP high end steak joint. Sullivan's exudes class, top to bottom. You'll find live music in the bar area on most nights, and the dining room is full of men in suits taking their clients out to schmooze and booze. Professionally managed and generally well staffed, this top end steakhouse was easily the best choice for carnivores in the KOP area. Unfortunately, things have slipped. While attention to detail remains in the physical plant, and the bar might be one of the better over 40 haunts out there, the steaks just don't measure up or justify their near $50 price tag. My Pittsburgh medium porterhouse, a skinny 3/4" thick, came out dry and overcooked. I sent it back and just asked for a medium rare NY strip. Ten minutes later it came back pretty much raw...sent back again, and another 10 minutes or so it came back properly prepared. I had pretty much stopped going to Sullivan's because of their inability to get a steak right, something you really need to nail when you are a steakhouse. I decided to give them another shot...oh well. Our server was sweet and attentive, but managed to spill wine over the table when she attempted to pour that last sip of wine (you know, the one you leave in the bottle because of the sediment) into my glass. I held my hand up, seeing this calamity approaching, but she proceeded but then abruptly stopped just as the bottle was near the glass, launching the remaining wine on the otherwise impeccable white tablecloth. To their credit, they took the steak and the wine off the bill, a very appropriate gesture. Everyone thought the cuts of meat were not worth the price tag, but I've begun to notice this at other high end steakhouses as well. Very mediocre cuts and certainly not worth what is being charged. The appetizers were good. So, its back to my island, where I'll be attempting to make a generator out of coconuts..

I ordered chicken from here and it was not cooked. When i went to cut the chicken I thought they handed me fish, but it was uncooked chicken. I told the server and they took my plate and just through the entire plate back in the oven. the chicken was then dried and and my mashed potatoes were burnt. Not worth the money, Good think I looked at the inside of my meal, I could have gotten salmonella poisoning.

I ate at Sullivan's once about four years ago and overall was disappointing in the experience. The food is on the expensive side, even for a steak house. The appetizers were fine but for the amount of money the steak costs, it was not very good. It had little flavor and my friends steak was overcooked. Dollar for dollar, I'd have rather eaten at Longhorn or Outback... Service was extremely slow, it was cold inside and the noise was unbearably loud. It felt more like a train station than a high priced steak house. The check was over $100 for two people and I felt robbed when I left.

There are a number of high-end steakhouse options in K of P: Sullivan's, Morton's, Capital Grill, Ruth's Chris. I've been to them all and Sullivan's is the most disappointing of the group. I chose the $42 prix fixe menu: shellfish bisque (very good but it had an unexpected hot spice that didn't belong in a velvety bisque), wedge salad with blue cheese (good enough) and a filet, plopped on top of a mound of hardened mashed potatoes. The presentation was so blah and unappetizing - along the lines of a cafeteria plate. Even a tiny garnish of parsley would have helped. The filet was cooked properly but had no succulence as filet usually does...plus, the meat was lukewarm. Give me Ruth's Chris sizzling plate any day instead. If you're looking for an atmospheric place for a special meal, Sullivan's isn't it: patrons are loud and the acoustics are awful. We dressed up for our $200 dinner, unlike a number of diners there. The lobby waiting area was shoulder to shoulder when we arrived on time for our reservation. I'm not sure if most of the other folks had reserved ahead, too, or just walked in. Either way, it was uncomfortable...and, for us, not worth it. On the plus side: The staff was attentive and friendly and the mediocre food arrived in good time.

"I am not a plant." That's an odd statement to begin a Steakhouse review. I feel the disclosure important as I begin with what sounds like marketing jargon.... Sullivans keeps getting better and better. Last year my wife and i were turned on to the Sullivan's happy hour by virtue of some gift cards. Actually about $200 worth and that's a lot of happy hours. We dutifully completed the challenge. Over the course of a few weeks we must have eaten on the bar side 6 times. My opinion of Sullivans is based on this experience and a recent trip. The Sullivan Happy hour is one of the better deals in town. My favorite is steak trite, which I think is around $6. Yes a steak for $6! It's not a fred flintstone size, but certainly adequate and always well cooked. That's what they do. Service always depended on the server, meaning I detected little in terms of formal training. They were accommodating with my wife's dairy-intollerence. Often that requires extra effort and they never hesitated to offer. 30% of the time something went sideways with our order. Wrong food, vanishing waitress or misplaced order. In each instance the manager came to the table and corrected any errors and apologize. I appreciated his focus on customer service and being accountable. Flash forward to my most recent dinner only last weekend. Servers were pleasant and well trained this time around. Katrina showed a great personality. Food was all good. In conclusion, a few months ago I would have said Sullivan's has a terrific happy hour with some average service. Now I see they've taken the customer experience to the next level. Note: The staff gets extra credit b/c they recovered my wallet which I must have left on the table. I called the next day and picked up my wallet with all the cash still inside!

Not a great start when the hostess wouldn't look out of place on a stripper pole - fish net stockings, high boots and a dress that barely covered her rear. I am not a prude but prefer servers in a bit more tasteful attire - this is supposed to be a classy place, right? Had the KC cut steak but nobody could tell us what that meant exactly. Ordered medium well to well and it was red in the middle, not pink. Had a bit too much fat for the price IMO. Got it Oscar style but for 3 stalks of asparagus and the tablespoon of small pieces of crabmeat it was not worth it - I would have gone with just the bernaise sauce which is included. They said the sides were enough to share (there were 4 of us) but there was less than 4 Tbls of mashed potatoes which didn't have much flavor anyway. We were there for my birthday and I love creme brulee but they were out so I got the cheesecake which was grainy, not creamy. They took a pic of us and put in a frame for me which I thought was a really nice touch. Wanted to love it but well.... I would recommend the Capital Grill first.

One star for service and another for elegance minus the rest for extremely expensive if you want to spent $45 in a small steak come here. If you are rich and have money to waste and want to see and being seeing this is your place. Seriously with that price it should blow my mind of flavors but for first course you open a frozen bag of shrimps and put 3 shrimps with sauce and charge over 20 this is just wrong but fancy people come here maybe to see the mayor any ways enjoy expending money for those who can spend money for small portion of normal flavor and to have a glass of water full at all times. Kudos for the servers; chef and manager those prices for what it is is just wrong .

There are better steak houses in the area. They really encourage you to go to the bar even if you have a reservation. They point you to the bar and if you say that you will wait in the lobby area, the host or hostess gives a funny look. Sometimes there is about a 30 minute wait or more even if you have a reservation, so they over crowd the place. Service is inconsistent. I have received better and friendlier service when I was on a date with a guy rather than dining with my mom or a girlfriend. I tip well, but maybe they assume 2 women will not tip as well as a man? Not sure, but seemed to happen a few times. My mom has a mild allergy to shrimp and got an allergic reaction (hives) from the crab meat appetizer, which has never happened to her before or after. She loves a good crab cake or crab meat appetizer and orders it often. We did not say anything. Luckily I had Benedryl in my purse. Steaks are good and usually cooked as ordered. Sides are tasty. Deserts are fine. It can get very loud when it is crowded. It is definitely not my choice for a steakhouse anymore, so I have only gone when a friend selects it. Overall, food is good, but for the high price, I want terrific.

Had dinner recently at this Sullivan's in a party of five. For starters, I had a Manhattan cocktail. Good, but apparently shaken beyond a necessary point. Should a Manhattan have a foamy top? Not really. Other than that, correctly mixed and tasty. We had a great waiter, and generally excellent service the whole evening, from the first time he greeted us to our departure. I was really tempted to order one of the specials, the Longbone cut, but among the company this evening it wouldn't work. So I opted to order one of the specials, a bone-on 12oz sirloin strip with 3 seared scallops. I started my meal off with the house wedge salad. It was excellent, and alone, I'd rate it 5 stars. Truly, one of the better wedge salads I've had, and the blue cheese dressing was superb. My steak, ordered medium rare, was probably heading closer towards medium. Otherwise, seasoned nicely and absolutely delicious. I could have eaten more for sure. The scallops were seared and cooked perfectly. Our table split mashed sweet potatoes (by far the table favorite), broccoli, asparagus and mushrooms. The other sides were good as well. Only a coffee for dessert, which was pleasantly freshly brewed (I can tell). In summary, I would definitely return for another round. Longbone won't escape my order next time.

Really weird atmosphere. For a restaurant that's attempting to be upscale, it's extremely loud and played radio hip hop. I had to shout to talk to people. People were wearing attire from jeans and sweats to dresses and tuxes. It was absolute chaos. The waitress was also an absolute bimbo -- when ordering, we asked to have a side dish made to take home and she said to "remind her at the end." Last I checked she had a pen and notepad. However, the Filet Mignon a Duxelle was the best steak I'd ever had, so I guess it all balances out. The baked potato was also clearly brined before baked so it was nicely salted, and loaded up with toppings right there at the table. Excellent meal, but again, weird experience. Expensive with medium/small portions. I would visit again so my boyfriend could experience the steak, but that's probably it in terms of coming back.

The decor of Sullivan's is like that of many steakhouses with the exception of not being as dim as the typical steakhouse. To start out, I should let you guys know that I had a business dinner here so I tried a lot of dishes and didn't have to pay for it. Normally, this would have a positive bias to the reviews, but even the free meal wasn't enough to overcome the flaws of Sullivan's. Drinks: The Knockout is delicious and dangerous. Moderate amounts of alcohol covered up by the pineapple flavor. The Moscow Mule was appropriate for the summer and very refreshing. Appetizers: Cheesesteak Egg Rolls - The egg rolls were smaller than I was used to. Mediocre at best. Crispy Shanghai Calamari - Good calamari covered in a great sauce (sweet chili). Chilled Seafood Tower - Horrible and definitely not worth it. Nothing stood out and the quality didn't taste fresh at all. The lobster claws were extremely dried and were either really overcooked or day old. The crab meat was OK but you would expect better when paying for an expensive seafood tower. Jumbo shrimp were also a letdown. Caesar Salad - On par with any decent restaurant Caesar Salad. Entrees: Seafood Trio with a lobster tail on the side: a combo of scallops, salmon oscar style, and garlic shrimp bruschetta style. Overall, the quality of the seafood didn't match the price. The shrimp were small and something I would expect from a cheaper Italian chain than from a steakhouse. My co-workers did order steaks, which looked much better than the seafood. It didn't seem overcooked like a lot of restaurants tend to do to steaks. Overall, they were satisfied with it and I was upset at myself for choosing seafood. I probably wouldn't come back again given the lack of quality in most of the dishes I tried.

EPIC FAIL KOP Sullivan's - Greeted by a woman wearing a wide belt as a skirt and lace stockings with an IQ equivalent to the width. I thought this was a world class establishment - not a gentleman's club. - When I requested to not be referred to as ma'am every time i was served something, I was engaged into a debate on what IS polite and how she grew up. - The bone-in fillet (read $$$ cut) had a large band of gristle right through the middle, the replacement band of gristle was only about half the width the second time. - Group of four ladies was seated in the next booth - their perfume entered the room 20 minutes before they did (I am not kidding) and ten minutes into their seating, they believed that the eye water factor was not high enough - proceeded to reload (so not kidding). - Asked to speak to a manager and described ALL the above events and was told: "Ma'am...we cannot help if our patrons wear perfume......." F A I L ! ! ! ! ! ! Other than the gristle fillet, the food was great - service unfortunately was less than stellar - not at all what you would expect from a Sullivan's - our experience in Denver was much much different. Extremely disappointed and will experience great food AND service at Morton's, Ruth's Chris, and Capital Grill.

There are so many things I love about this place. My company held their Christmas party here one year and it was amazing. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the service was great, and all the drinks were well worth the money paid. The cheesesteak egg rolls were the best I've ever had, and the Banana Cream Pie Martini is something I would order every time I go back.

Takes reservations via Open Table and we had a great time! The atmosphere is very intimate and inviting and the bar area is really cool, seems like a great place to hang out and have a drink. They have specialty drinks as well that looked great. The manager Mike was really attentive to make sure that we had a great experience - even took out picture and put it in a frame for us! The service we got was top notch as well - and we were using gift cards which lets face it can sometimes slack the service a bit - but our server was great! The food was so delicious...got the following items and there we just amazing: Chop salad - best salad ever Salmon - nice portion and cooked perfectly NY Strip - with truffle butter Baked Potato - freaking big potato Huge (HUGE) Creme Brulee - definitely a share plate

I was very pleasantly surprised by our experience here the other night. We are not big steak eaters, but my friend gifted me a certificate. Jenny was our waitress and she was entertaining. It was a Wednesday night and the place was pretty full. We were greeted and seated immediately in a booth. The noise level is medium to high. We had the calamari as our app and it comes very highly rated. Best calamari we have ever had. Really. My Alaska King Crab legs (which were probably frozen) were extremely large and tender. My husbands' Strip steak with Porcini mushrooms was out of this world. He raved about it. Thank goodness it came perfect medium rare. The Banana Foster Bread pudding was a fabulous hit. And the Caesar Salads that come with the meals were large enough for two and tasty. The not so goods.... Scallops with Israeli Couscous, the Brussels Sprouts and the Key Lime Pie. These were just so so. I know people have raved about the key lime pie in other reviews and that is why I ordered it, but for the life of me I don't know why someone would want to waste their calories or money on this one pick. We are definitely thinking of returning here in the future which still surprises me. As a note, there was a problem with the scallops and the management bent over backwards to fix it. The service was excellent.

i absolutely loved this place! They have a great 3 course lunch special with a very reasonable price, I asked the server for recommendations, and it didn't disappoint. Loved their steaks, crab cakes sandwiches, and of course dessert! Wish the restuarant was a little brighter, a little too dark for me, but was a great experience. Looking forward to my next trip here!

We went out on a Saturday night around 830 pm. I used Open Table to make the reservation and everything went well. The restaurant was louder and brighter than I expected. We ordered the calamari that others had recommended..It is very delicious. I had a KNOCKOUT the signature drink (delicious but not much alcohol for $11) while my bf had a miller-lite. I switched to Merlot after 1 cocktail. BF ordered the bone in rib eye - Oscar style and I ordered the Seafood Trio. We got a side of broccolini and mac and cheese. When the food arrived a different waiter brought it and when he put the steak down he SPILLED beer all over my bf. --- We are nice so we made no big deal and tried to make the young waiter not feel too bad. ..Long story short..... We had to ask for a new napkin and they eventually brought Jon a new beer. We were charged for both the spilled beer and the new one. ---REALLY ANNOYING The warm dessert...was cold. The waiters are so young and inexperienced that we will NEVER come here again. We will take our business back to Fleming in Radnor (a must try). The price point is WAY TO HIGH to share servers, get beers spilled on you and not get a replacement beer. Food was OK but nothing to scream about. Thank goodness we had a gift card. I did make sure to take care of our server but they will not get out business again.

Loved the vibe. Sinatra playing, staff wearing black and white, and everybody very attentive. Food was good. I had crab (not on menu). I know... Crab at a steak house? But it was good and what I was in the mood for. Wedge salad was fresh and tasty. Wine list top notch! Only thing that kinda sucked was paying the tab!

Food excellent. Filets were perfect, shrimp cocktail app was good, and chocolate brownie dessert was delish. My huge gripe is the lackluster service. I've had better servers at Applebee's. Our guy was not interested, didn't give us the specials, didn't fill up our drinks all while chumming it up with the chef. If I'm spending $400 on a meal, I expect exceptional service. Not so at Sullivan's.

Overall a great meal, though a little pricey. I will say the staff is accommodating as usual, and the portions a good size. The noise level a little high, but that is par for the course for these larger steak houses.

Pretty good steakhouse. Great drinks. My husband's steak is always cook perfectly. I don't eat meat, so I either opt for the salmon, which is always delicious, or a salad and a few sides. I love their wedge with blue cheese dressing, and every single one of their sides never disappoint. Desserts are good but seem to be made offsite, and might be frozen (?). Service is never amazing, but it's good. Valet parking is great!

Abominable service and average steakhouse cuisine? I think I'll pass. I was mollified somewhat by what a great time we had here for the Yelp Elite Event here a few months ago, but it seems that everyone was just on their best behavior for that particular crowd. Every single solitary other time we've been to this Sullivan's, the service has been some combination of slow (in all senses of the word), rude, substandard and, most recently, non-existent. We went for happy hour and sat at a half-empty bar and were only able to get water from a staff of three bartenders, none of whom came back to get us actual drinks or even looked at us as we tried to flag them down. One was on service bar, one was washing glasses and one was alternating between standing around chatting and leaving the bar to socialize with the host or other staff members. It's one of the only times in my life that I've actually left somewhere. I was so furious that we even waited long enough to sit right in front of them all and be completely ignored for 10 minutes. Dining room experiences have been only marginally better, and the food doesn't set itself apart from any other steakhouse in the same price point. The selections at the YEE were a bit more innovative - everything was fresh and tasty - but perhaps, being a national chain, they're not able to do anything more creative with the menu or ingredients.

Went Sunday night by myself for happy hour. I had the steak with frites, mushrooms and spinach from the happy hour menu, the blueberry le,mon drop martini. Yummy. I do lots of happy hours and dining here and enjoy it, the bar and the restaurant get very loud. In general I have never had a bad meal. Happy hour is Thursday and Sunday nights and a great value. The $39 October menu for breast cancer is very good value too. A la carte though a little too expensive for what you get. Try the menu specials.

Had a wonderful lunch here today. We frequent Capital Grill for their lunch specials and wanted to try something different. I'm glad we made that choice. We both ordered the mix lunch special. $18 for soup or salad, entree, and side dish. I had the shrimp and lobster bisque, porcini strip steak, and roasted cauliflower. Everything was cooked perfectly. Great lunch! Pretty quick too.

Class of the field in KOP. Had a 7pm Saturday reservation, seated immediately in a packed and bustling restaurant. Waitress was outstanding, kept the drinks coming perfectly and paced the dinner at exactly the right speed. No less than three managers on the floor, not just giving you the perfunctory "how is everything tonight" while walking by, but actually clearing our table and even getting another round of drinks for us. When I mentioned to my girlfriend how great cuppacinnos would be, a manager stopped in his tracks, came right to our table with dessert menus and said he would get our order for them right in while we looked at desserts. He did, they were great. Go here.

Decent place, but not the best. Always seems crowded which is probably because it's at the KOP Mall. My steak was good, but nothing I'll say I need to go back for. Sides were okay. Nice place, but for a few extra dollars I'll go to the Capital Grille next time.

Started with the CRISPY SHANGHAI CALAMARI. Very good, nice kick and a large serving (good for two). I had the Filet Oscar. I ordered the small size which was plenty. The filet was medium (red in the center) as requested and very tender. The Jumbo Lump Crab Béarnaise was just a little bland, My wife had the CHILI CRUSTED RIBEYE. The ribeye was a little overdone for medium. If you like spicy you will not be disappointed. The waiter was very nice but as with any place that tag teams the service, things get missed. We did not get the bread (did not really want it anyway) and no one asked my wife if she wanted more wine. Since the food selection is good, will probably give this place another chance.

  • Lou H.

Terrible. Came in at 10 pm and they should have been closed because they weren't prepared to take care of guests. We were the only ones in the dining room and it reeked of smoke that was coming in from the outside enclosed patio. The waiter moved our table but it didn't help. The bread was rock hard and cold. Service was inattentive especially considering the place was empty. My bone-in filet was ok, but it was ice cold in the middle (I ordered medium rare). Ruth's Chris has a bone in filet that is tastier and bigger for a similar price point. Mashed potatoes were dry and the Brussels sprouts side was poor. Overall it was a very underwhelming meal that was made worse by the smoke. I have had better meals at Outback for a fraction of the price. I consider myself a steak connoisseur and this Sullivan's is a place to avoid. You can do better at Morton's or Ruth's Chris - or at the food court.

  • Danan R.

Okay, the steak here is good, but it's not so amazing that it would kill Ruth's and Morton's. They are about equivalent. What is great about Sullivan's is the wider range of options that includes lamb chops (juicy and flavorful), escargot (garlicky and fresh), a sweet potato casserole, crab fried rice (surprisingly good albeit not really authentic), and a coconut cream pie (love it!). If you like a side of seafood with your steak, I would highly recommend getting your filet (my personal fav here - it comes out a perfect medium!) oscar style - the béarnaise sauce is rich and delicious and who can resist the lump crabmeat? Service is tolerable but not really outstanding. Nevertheless, this is my steakhouse pick from the kop triumvirate.

Came here with a good friend. Split a bottle of red. Loved the iceberg wedge salad. The shrimp cocktail was good. My steak was amazing! Everything about the dining experience was great and fun. I would definitely come back to Sullivan's!

Great ambiance, great food. Awesome wedgie salad. The waiter guy though kept talking in this hushed voice and really pissed me off since he must've also been partially deaf and got my bearnaise sauce WRONG and didn't put it on the side. But that was one of 10 visits so I'll give it 5 stars because of consistency and the great mushrooms on the great steak(s) and salad and you-name-it. And they had a vegan menu I like (none). Get rid of the soft-voiced guy who messed up my bearnaise sauce - he's a detriment. But it's 5 stars since I can't do 4.5 stars! October 2013 another visit. Perfect again. Awesome.

The service was fantastic for the most part but I guess I'm bias due to the fact that I was eating with two former employees of the place, which means that they pretty much knew a lot of the staff. Cocktail was very good. The steak was cooked well but it did seem a little overcooked when I ordered a medium rare. Tasted more like medium, but it wasn't a dealbreaker. I would highly suggest opting for the iceberg lettuce wedge with the blue cheese dressing, it was unbelievable, especially because I love blue cheese. Even if you don't, this might change your mind. Got myself a NY Strip and our table of 5 shared 3 sides (lobster mac & cheese, green beans, garlic mash potatoes). I personally was a fan of the mac and cheese, you can really taste the lobster with every bite. As mentioned before the steak could have been better but I was able to try a bite of my friend's ribeye and that was amazing. Will definitely get the ribeye next time. For the price, I would have preferred something out of this world but this just seemed somewhat like a average steak dinner. But with the service and that small taste of the ribeye to know what to get next time, I think it was worth it.

The prime rib was amazing especially covered in scallops. 2 glasses of amazing wine. The bread was super crunchy on the crust and tasted great, but was messy. Sullivan's ($85) was actually more expensive than Ruth's ($75) All-in-all I like the atmosphere more at Sullivan's, but I think I like the steak more at Ruth's. This price between the two: Ruth's was slightly less expensive. Not by much though. I did like the fact that there are far more choices at Sullivan's than Ruth's. (Seafood, lamb beef etc...)

Perfect meal, as usual! The jumbo shrimp that make up the shrimp cocktail are 1.) HUGE! 2.) PERFECTLY COOKED and 3.) the FRESHEST one can get! I had the Lobster and Shrimp Bisque & my wife's Iceberg Wedge with Bleu Cheese Dressing. We both had the the most amazing dry-aged 16 oz. Ribeye Steak ... they were so tasty and juicy! Thank you, AGAIN, Sullivan's for a GREAT New Year's Eve dinner!

Full disclosure: I dined here using my gift certificate won at a Sullivan's hosted Yelp party. My husband and I started the night in the fine bar, fancy cocktails and all. We did think it weird that the waitress asked if my husband wanted his martini "on the rocks". Apparently some customers get it that way, I just assumed she was new to the job. The calamari appetizer we got was perfect: crunchy outside, tender inside, and the sauce was nice and spicy. For dinner we were seated near the lobby and kitchen at a booth. Our waitress was nice but just a tad unprofessional (or too friendly?) We both got the lobster and Filet Mignon, side of potatoes and green beans. The filet was probably the best I have ever had. The lobster was Ok but I think that I don't really like lobster after all. Our bill at the end exceeded the gift cert. value by $15 but the manager Tim let it slide. Very nice! Thank you for a wonderful night out.

Used to frequent this place for lunch meetings, etc. The Lunch specials are decent for an upscale chain and their burgers and the salmon are pretty good. They recently started to offer Sunday brunch (11am-2pm). Today we had Belini & Bloody Mary Chilled Asparagus Soup Green mix salad Belgian Waffles Tenderloin Eggs Benedict Assorted desserts from the buffet style dessert table. Service is usually pretty good, but we had an absent minded professor type server today. Their bar is pretty good and cigar friendly, which is increasingly hard to find these days. Currently, wines are 50% off on Fridays.

I have to say the food and service was outstanding. The wait staff was perfectly attentive and the Ribeye was cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend Sullivan's and I look forward to going back soon.

Took a friend to Sullivan's for his birthday with a small group friends. The service and food were very good. The steaks are priced similarly to other upper end, larger chain steakhouses. (Ruths Chris, etc.) The 1/2 price wine night was a pleasant surprise. We went on a Tuesday night. If that's a normal Tuesday promotion I'd recommend going there for it. It significantly reduced our bill. Another little tip for Costco Members, if you hit the Costco right around the corner before dinner you can grab $100 gift certificates for $80 and save an easy 20%. Our waitresses were excellent, very attentive and friendly. The restaurant was a little louder than expected but not enough to negatively impact the experience. Overall it was a very good experience and we'll definitely be back.

This review is geared specifically toward the happy hour on Thursday and Sunday. If you go anywhere else for happy hour you are missing out. Sullivan's has half price martinis and bar menu ALL DAY. They also have an awesome heated outdoor area that seats first come first serve. So. Good. Don't tell too many people because it already gets really crowded!!

I've never been so upset that I've written a review, but I guess there's a first for everything! I've been in the restaurant business for over 13 years and I've never been so uncomfortable at a restaurant in my life. My sister didn't have her wallet after graduating from college and when my dad asked the manager if he could please have a glass of champagne for her so we could all toast her, the manager refused pretty rudely then continued to stare down our table the rest of the night. There were 8 of us in the party, my sister being the youngest at 22 years old - and every single one of us felt uncomfortable by this manager. He told all the other managers about our table and they continuously had someone starring at our table the entire two hours we were there. Our waitress told all the other waitresses as well and there was not 1 minute we weren't starred down. Mostly everyone at the table did the pre-fix meal for $39 and I've never seen a tinier steak to come with it. My sister then ordered the 12 ounce filet medium and it came to us as rare as it could come. When we sent it back, they brought it back to us the exact same way we sent it back - it didn't look like they did anything to it. I've had better steaks at places that charge half for what they do and have had much better service! We would never go back

Omg Banging. My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and it was great! We had the onion rings, mac and cheese, chicken, steak, crab cakes, ceased salads and mashed sweet potatoes. So delicious. The waitress was nice, our water glass never was less then half empty and everyone was so friendly. I hope to go back quite often, (as long as I am not paying and he is!) Best macaroni and cheese I have ever had in my life. The only thing is....don't come here if you are on a diet, as mine got ruined.

Best steak I've had in a long time. Went there for Father's Day while it was very busy and a little loud. We had the shrimp and lobster bisque which was good but wished it had more meat in it. The calamari was outstanding. I believe Fredrick was our server who was excellent . Try one of their signature martinis.. The grapefruit one was delicious

The restaurant was very crowded and loud as it was a Saturday night. I ordered the NY Strip. I was surprised at the look of it on the plate. Ordered medium, it was shriveled and looked lost on the plate. The meat was overlooked, dry and mealy. After the meal the waiter asked how it was and I told him, I always order NY strip when I go to a steakhouse and this was my most disappointing in quite a while. The waiter sent the manager over, and it was taken off the bill which was the right thing o do. My dining partners enjoyed their meals. However, my husband said his filet was also overcooked. My son got the fixe-price Ny strip. He said his was delicious. I should have ordered what he ordered. Even with the entree removed the bill was quite steep for the quality and ambiance. Lots of young servers, as a different server mistakenly put food down at our table that was not ours. Seems like lots of help but not enough training.

My cajun ribeye (ordered medium) was well done and overly salted. I got the "hand cut" onion rings and was terribly disappointed at the thick batter that didn't even seem cooked all the way through. Sonic's has better! Wife had the 12oz strip and that seemed to be done ok. I was very disappointed with the waitress. The lady filling the water glasses was top notch though. :/ We probably won't go back. For a nice steak at KoP, stick to Ruth's Chris or Morton's. I'd lean more towards Morton's. Better service (seems more professional so you don't mind tipping 20% on $150 tab) and excellent food.

The service and food is excellent. Oscar style filet is my favorite as well as the Thursday and Sunday half price martini specials. The martini bar has a nice setting and the live music is always very good. The valet service is free, so that is a no brainer! Even they are also very accommodating and take pride in their appearance and service as well.

I'm a much bigger fan of Sullivan's lunch than dinner. The burgers and wedge are excellent. The seafood (oysters, clams, crab claws) is pretty good and their cocktail sauce is incredible (no ketchup - just tomatoes). As far as dinner goes - the steaks are on par with Ruth's and Morton's (which are all within 1 mile) in my opinion. The creamed spinach and mushrooms & onions are excellent. The service is lacking compared to the other big steakhouses (especially when you factor in the downtown Philly locations). Now that you can't smoke cigars in the bar, this may be heading to a 3-star review, but so long as the lunch is top notch, I will keep it at 4.

Very disappointing. I was hoping to count on my yelpers for this meal but this is quite bad. My in-laws wanted to take me here for my birthday dinner celebration and we ended up going here during the blizzard of 2010 and it was a disappointment. The highlight of my meal was my soup. That's pretty sad for a high end steakhouse. I ordered the lobster bisque soup and it was decent. I would say it was good and buttery but it had ALOT of spice to it and it was spicy. Tasted like they dropped a whole box of old bay seasoning in this but it was ok for my liking. Moving on the "included" ice berg blue cheese salad was terrible. I do not like blue cheese and do not like wedge salads. I had asked for a substitute to a Caesar salad or anything else and they said they can change the dressings....I ordered Caesar dressing. The lettuce was frozen! Disgusting and I left it there after 1 bite. Next I ordered the Cajun rib eye. The steak was a nice size and it was done Oscar style. Oscar style means that it has crab meat and Bearnaise sauce on it. Well let me say this...the steak had NO flavor which is ODD for a rib eye and...AND! This is more shocking the crab and Bearnaise sauce was bland and also had no flavor. I do not understand how this is possible. The steak for its credit was tendor but it did have some fat as rib eye should. And now for the topping on the cake for the steak....it arrived cold. It wasn't just mine but everybody's on our table was COLD! My in-laws had a filet which was a nice sized and cold. My wife had a filet that was cold and my mom-in-law had scallops which were ALSO COLD!! How is this possible, for a high quality place? We also ordered au-gratin potatoes and sweet potato casserole. BOTH of which were downright not good. For dessert (which we should have known better) we ordered a slice of key lime pie. The filling itself was decent, BUT the crust tasted like it was burned! How do you ruin the crust to this wonderful dessert. Overall 1 star for the soup, and 1 for the service which was excellent. I can not complain about that at all. I didn't have to ask for a drink nor did i have to ask for anything but the food...the main reason i went here was horrifically bad. Do yourself a favor and with all the BETTER steakhouses in the mall or around it go elsewhere. The prices are slighly less then a mortons BUT not even close to on par with quality or consistency. I'd even go so far as to say that outback and texas roadhouse grill are 100x better then this place for quality of meat and decent food. Be warned this place wasn't good and you'll thank me when you save some serious $ by avoiding this. To summarize in a two words: COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT

Sullivan's wants to be an upscale steakhouse. At least, that's what they charge you for. The decor fits, but for this price the service is fair and the food is hit-or-miss. Within 5 minutes drive of this restaurant is a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, a Mortons and a Capital Grill: Try your luck at any of those if you insist on visiting a premium restaurant, or even go to the Lone Star around the corner- at least the prices will be in line with the food and service.

I have been here only once but very much enjoyed it. However, we didn't try the steaks there so I can't comment on that. I did have the Chilean sea bass and that was the best Chilean sea bass I've ever had! The place is pricey but the portion is generous. I would come back and try other items on their menu, especially the steaks.

Three friends and I dined here a couple months ago on a Friday night at 6:30. It was my second time at Sullivans. For starters, I had a chilled asparagus bisque with lump crab meat that was very mild in flavor but satisfying. Definitely one of the better chilled soups I've had. My friends all got the lobster bisque and they were raving about it. Three of us ordered steaks while one got the meatloaf. My filet mignon was cooked perfectly (med-rare) and the other two that got steaks echoed my sentiments. The friend that got the meatloaf was very pleased with his dish as well. All of the sides we ordered (we did some sharing) were delicious and fairly sizeable - which is good considering they're all a la carte and far from cheap. Dessert was the only blight of the night. I got the chocolate mousse and everyone knows mousse should be light, frothy and creamy. This was neither light or frothy. It was dense and more akin to Jell-0 chocolate pudding. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Overall everyone in our party was very happy with their food and the service we received. Sullivans is definitely very pricey, but I've left pretty satisfied both times I've dined here.

Took Princess here for Valentines, this was where I took her for one of our first dates which made a huge impression on her which I say is why she is still around :) They were having a valentines day one price special which was a great deal, salad, entree, side, and desert. She got ceased salad, New York Strip steak oscar style (crab meat on top), side of mushrooms, and key lime pie for desert . I got the lettuce wedge with bleu cheese, Kansas City cut steak with horseradish mashed potatoes and New York Cheesecake. Everything was excellent, service was warm and friendly, another perfect evening with lasting memory's for both of us.

Having lived in NYC for a few years and going back to the burbs of Philly (not near Center City) it's hard to remember the places that I thought were good, and there really aren't alot of places, at least not back when I was a struggling teeny bopper and thought Olive Gardent was fine dining! Haha! (which I think I still kind of do... what?) Anyway, it was actually nice since I decided last minute to change Momma's day dinner to Saturday, and was able to find a reasonable time reservation. I had the NY Strip 12oz medium rare, and mom had filet mignon. It was delicious... and they really did cook it well, it was nice and brown on the outside, and warm and pink on the inside, and melted like butter. Timing was great too as it wasn't piping hot, and it wasn't lukewarm either. Sides included sweetpotatoe cassarole (YUM! Highly recommend, it has a crunchy warm almond honey crust) creamed spinach (can you really do wrong?) greenbeans cooked to perfection, not too fully cooked, and not too crispy. Plus they give you a loaf of warm bread, and creamy butter... haha! So good, I know I'm a fat a! Our waitress, Leah, was super adorable too, and the GM kept coming around to make sure we were doing well, which was nice, especially since it was packed. Check comes and yay! It wasn't too pricey (about $55pp) I must mention we did have wine too, the selection was meager, but that's okay cause mom loves White ZInfandel, haha! Overall I would definitely go back. Only down side is that they forgot to pack my take away 3/4 NY Strip and 1/4 of my dad's! That was a entire steak that was not packed up, so I called them the next day to complain, and the GM bought me another steak. Shoot! He better! So I got to have steak 2 nights in a row! Holler!

A wonderful experience, would highly recommend it. It was my father in law's 71 st birthday. Service was great and so was the food. Jennifer the manager on duty made it really special by taking time to mingle with our table and we got a nice picture taken as well.

Went tonight for the first time with my family. There were ten of us so we went early, 5:30. Perfect time for very attentive service. Our server was informative and gracious with this our first time. My smoked salmon app was both fresh and chilled to perfection, a Caesar followed not as creamy as I like , maybe a touch more oil during the emulsifying of the yolk but very good. My Sushi Tuna was the rare I had asked for. Very good, the table ordered- the filet, the lobster and crab stuffed shrimp, the lamb chops, Delmonico, the filet Oscar, roasted chicken- side dishes of mushrooms, augratin potatoes, lobster mac, creamed spinach, all hot cooked to the right temp requests and very flavorful sides. Deserts splendid and the wine selection was superb . $1200 with tip. Worth it? Go for your self. I will return. Very nice.

Swanky establishment. Great wine list! I had a 16oz NY Strip Steak that was the best steak I've had in a long long time. Perfectly cooked and not charred on the outside like at Ruth Chris or Mortons. Beer selection is week! Bar is hopping if you want to get a drink and get an appetizer.

I love steaks. I've eaten at Capital Grill, Ruth's Chris, and other big name chains known for their steaks and I must say, Sullivan is up there. Their fillet is EXCELLENT! I'm only giving this a four stars because of one reason and one reason only, their dishes seems to slip in quality if there's more than two to a party. Their servers, VERY attentive. Their food very good...and their bar, EXCELLENT. Their espresso martini, to die for! I highly recommend this place if you're in the KOP area in need of a steak, but make reservations!

Went here last weekend with my wife and son. I don't know what took me so long to venture into this establishment, as I've passed it many times en route to the King of Prussia Mall, but I'm glad I did. Sullivan's ranks amongst the best steakhouses. Not only in Philly, but anywhere. I had the chili crusted cowboy ribeye(upgraded to the 22 oz.) which was awesome. I typically can't finish a steak that big, but I did. The entire meal was great from the iceberg lettuce wedge salad to the oysters on a half-shell. I tried one of their signature drinks, the Knockout. I could've done without it, but I didn't allow it to take away from my overall experience. The service was great and I actually left with a souvenir; my waiter gave me a 'crumber', just because I asked for it. Nice touch! Another great thing about this place is it's only 20 minutes from where I live. I can avoid having to navigate the Philly traffic when I want a good steak by just coming back to Sullivan's.

What a difference from the Sullivan's in Chicago. Not in a bad way at all, but wow. At the Chicago Sullivan's we were one of just a few tables; at the KoP Sullivan's last week the place was completely packed! One of the reasons I gave the Chicago Sullivan's five stars was for the beyond-words EXCEPTIONAL service. The service at the KoP Sullivan's was very very good, but it's basically impossible to achieve the same level of service in a packed restaurant as it is when you only have a couple tables to deal with... so, our experience at the KoP Sullivan's was probably a bit more "typical" of the chain. That said, the food was still very good. You have to try the sweet potatoes, they are IN-CREDIBLE. Steak is obviously awesome, tomato & mozzarella salad is fantastic (HUGE tomatoes), fiance loved the oysters, etc etc etc. Since this is a chain, you probably already know what to expect, but I will offer two tips: (1) the creamed corn is SPICY and (2) get the cabernet goat cheese topping/sauce/whatever for your steak. It is a taste sensation.

We dined here on a Wed. night and it was packed! That's always a good sign. We called ahead for a reservation and they were able to accomodate us (a party of 4) on short notice. The atmosphere is that of a finer steakhouse dining experience. Valet parking is offered and the attendants were friendly. The walls are a rich dark wood and there are historic black and white framed pictures decorating the walls. The tin ceiling is fun to look at as well. The tablecloths were a dark purple and complimented the decor nicely. The waitresses (I didn't see any waiters) wore all black and were mostly in short black minis with different tights (from fishnets to stockings). Ladies - make sure you go there with a man who does not have a wandering eye (luckily, mine only has eyes for me). Aww ... ;) Even though it had a fine-dining feel, the attire of the guests were a mix from casual to formal. Also, it never felt overly stuffy or snooty to us. Okay .. and here is what we ordered: Appetizer Philly Cheesetake Rolls - these definitely were different and had a unique taste but I have to say there were a little greasy. The spicy chili sauce that comes with this dish is tangy and midly spicy. It was definitely an interesting twist on a traditional egg roll. Salad Casear - the dressing was on the thicker side and had a nice sharp cheese taste to it. The lettuce was crisp and fresh. My salad was lacking fresh shaved parm cheese, but regardless - it was still good. Entree Petite filet mignon - Yum! The steak had a well balanced seasoned taste and was the perfect texture for me. When ordering your steak at this restaurant pay close attention to their descriptions of their temeratures! I usually order medium rare but they described it as pink throughout and cool. To me, medium rare is pink throughout and warm so I opted for a medium prepared filet. When it came to the table, it tasted more medium well / almost well-done. Normally I would send this back to the kitchen, however, after my first bite, it was delicious and didn't want to wait for another piece of meat to be cooked nor did I want to waste a piece of meat. Even though it was more well done for me, the steak was perfectly seasoned and was very tender. Our guests ordered medium rare steaks and they looked rare. In fact, they were unable to finish their steaks because they were too undercooked. But, I did tell them that the waitress explained what their medium rare is and they should have ordered it medium. So, when ordering - just be careful and pay attention to their descriptions. SIDES Are all al la carte and can add up quickly. However, they are large enough for family-style so definitely split if you can. We shared the white cheddar au gratain potatoes and they were scrumptous! The white cheddar was sharp and fresh. Our guests ordered baked potatoes but they do the toppings tableside. It seemed like overkill to me to have the watiress dress the potatoes with toppings tableside. Not to mention how awkward it is for the wait staff to be juggling plates of potatoes, a serving station of toppings and utensils. Seems more gimickey than practical. We chose not to order dessert because we were full, however, the desserts that other patrons were eating around us looked amazing. Our guests ordered mixed drinks and they weren't that happy with them. The Long Island Iced teas our guests ordered said they tasted too much triple sec and weren't the usual Long Island Iced Teas that they were used to. The same went for the long island martini. Service - ON POINT! We had a trainee and it seemed like it was her very first night ... LOL. Even though she was new and had a trainer with her at all times, she was very attentive and had a comical personaility. She thanked us for "putting up with her" when our meal was over. All in all the service was on point and couldn't ask for anything more. Our iced teas were always refilled and refills on alcohol were always offered just as they were empty. I look forward to going back on a date night and trying dessert. We will definitely be back.

Just came here for a friends birthday. Atmosphere is great, service is a little slow but acceptable. Food tasted great but our steaks - all priced over $40 - were over and under cooked. The medium steaks were well, the well were medium well, and the medium well was almost med-rare. The manager bought us a round of drinks to compensate. We spent over $200 just on steaks and they were all wrong. All we got was a round of free drinks? ?? Are you kidding me? Worst part of all is we drove over an hour to get here because we wanted to take our friend for a really nice dinner. Now we are left with empty pockets and empty stomachs.

We love Sullivan's and would rather eat here than some of the more pricey and stuffy steakhouses in the King of Prussia and CC Philadelphia area. The food is as good as those places, yet the prices are more pallatable and you don't feel like you got raped (price wise, that is!) when you leave. We stopped in for an early Saturday evening dinner after doing some shopping at the adjacent King of Prussia Mall, arriving at about 5:30 (yes, we had reservations, which is really a must on weekends for this super busy restaurant). Interestingly, they have valet parking which is surprising because there is actually plenty of free parking with a very short walk of the restaurant and you don't have to tip the valet. The restaurant has that dark, wood paneled steakhouse look that most places have, with all of the wait staff dressed in black. We were cheerfully greeted by our server (unfortunately, I do not recall her name), but she was lovely and provided just the right amount of information, service, refills, etc. Started off with a Cosmo, hubby had a gin + tonic; the Cosmo was among the best I have ever had. We split the ginormous Shrimp Cocktail appy, and he opted for the iceberg wedge with blue cheese, while I opted for the warm spinich and bacon salad (yum!). Both salads were quite large and had I remembered that from previous visits, I would have stayed away from the Shrimp and the deelish bread that is hot, just-out-of-the-oven good! We both got the 8 oz filet, and it was done perfectly, just as we like it, which is medium. Hubby opted for the blue cheese topping and I got the bernaise, both on the side, and both were an additional $3.00. They were both really tasty. We also split the football-size baked potato and an order of garlicky green beans. Everything was really tasty and it was just enough food. Hubby, who has difficulty passing up dessert no matter how full he feels, chose the mint chocolate chip ice cream (OK, I did dig my spoon in a few times!) and we both had their coffee which is really good as well. We really like Sullivans and the only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that the restrooms aren't as clean and fresh as one would expect and the decor could use a little updating. Otherwise, this place is a hit with us.

My wife and I went for dinner after shopping at the mall next door. We both ordered steak (petit filet) and both were great. I had mine served Oscar style which was good. Service was good, but not memorable. We would recommend it for anyone looking for steak in the Western Suburbs.

my family ate at Sullivan's this past Sunday evening. The food was good. The service from the waitress to manager was the worst. They were not rude they just did not care about our table. We had a steak, crab claws, two drinks and twosalads. The bill was over $140.00 with tip. Our waitress refused to help us. She never offered us dessert coffee etc. The place was empty. Capital grill is the same food but the service is so much better. It took over to hours and they took my salad twice when, I hadn't even finished it. I called the manager that evening and than on Monday to ask why the service was off . Neither manager even called us back!!! Ruth's Chris Steak house is so much better. When you pay a good price life should be sweet. Sullivan's let you know they don't care!

Prime rib was great w goat cheese Cabernet butter. her mignon stuffed with shrooms and awesome sauce was wonderful. Live jazz bass and bass almost every night! Twas lovely. Service fine. Ambiance perfectly fine, dark woods, nice touches. Seafood sampler app was good quality. All in all, I was told sullivans was on par with ruths chris: no way. Perfectly fine, NO reason not to come here. Steaks were GREAT. But NOT the same as ruths chris for presentation and oh-my-god sizzling-on-the-plate unforgettable steak. More like a normal (very good) restaurant, with exemplary steaks. Not the totally different class ruths chris is, as an authoritative STEAKHOUSE. Is this damning with faint praise?? Not meant to. Seriously-- NO reason not to go here. Very good experience. No faults with it at all.

"Wow....that was sooooo bad" is all we kept saying as we left Sullivan's last night. We were shopping at K of P and decided to grab a bite at the bar in Sullivan's. The food was good, but the service made the whole experience terrible. The two bartenders that were working should not be in the service industry. We were apparently invisible. If the bar was busy I would have some sympathy but there about 7 patrons in the bar in total. After ordering drinks, appetizers and entrees we were basically left without any attention for the entire evening other than the wait staff that delivered the food. We wished we could have made our own drinks when our glasses sat empty for 15 minutes, or wished we were able to clear our own dirty plates that sat for 20 minutes, or even print our own bill once we sat another 10 minutes after we had said we were done. More frustrating, the bartenders kept walking by and looking at the glasses and plates but never made eye contact or asked to assist. The only way to get their attention was to call-out to them. Really? What kind of service is that in a nice restaurant? Like I said, the food was good but the whole experience left a bad taste in our mouths.

If you are looking for a complete dining experience, Sullivan's is the place to go. From the attentive service, to the sensational cuisine, and to each fine detail, this restaurant offers excellence. I have dined, or should I say feasted, at Sullivan's approximately half a dozen times and they have always exceeded the expectations of me and my fellow guests. I highly recommend the N.Y. Strip or Porterhouse. I normally get one or the other of these fine cuts of angus beef. Plus, the iceberg lettuce wedge and blue cheese salad is a must. Make a request to sit in one of the half-moon booths in front of the enormous wine room, you will have the best seat in the house. From this vantage point you can gaze over the entire dining room with the open kitchen in far background. You'll feel like royalty!

Like Flemings, Sullivans seems to be very hit or miss in the service department. We made a reservation for 8:00 for 2. We arrived early and had a drink at the bar. 8:00 rolls around and we are not seated at our table. It's packed so OK no big deal. 8:15 rolls by as does 8:30, 8:45, 9:00. At 9:10 we finally get seated. Now, again I understand that it's a packed house but we made a reservation. It's like that Seinfeld episode, they knew how to take the reservation, but not how to hold the reservation. Very disappointed by that. That coupled with no apology from the hostess, or anyone for the delay really just soured our mood for the evening. The food was great and we had no complaints. Our server was a little on the slow side and we did need to ask for refills on our drinks (instead of them asking us). For my money, I'd rather go to Ruths Chris just from a service perspective. The food between them are comparable, but I've always received excellent service at Ruths'.
